Mid-summer blooms

Star-gazer lily looking all tangled up.Step back a bit.....

Bougainvillea - my pride and joy. I got this hanging basket for half price!

I had to post one pic that wasn't pink! Million bells in a soft yellow shade. Last year I made hanging baskets of this flower. This year it sits in a pot.

The first tangled photo is so artistic looking. I love it. Your flowers are all beautiful. I really thought bougainvillea was a California plant. And did not do well in cooler areas. I am not good at indoor plants. But this year I will have to care for the ones I brought back from Texas. So I hope I can be a better plant keeper. Did you see my art work. I am amazed I can still draw after all these years.
Have a wonderful day. See ya.

Stargazer is one of the truly gorgeous trumpet lilies. And I love million bells. I have it in several colors in my containers. It looks good and with no deadheading. :) Have a great week!

Beautiful flowers.
Nothing wrong with pink!
Hope the weather picks up. It's sadly lacking in sun or warmth here.

I love pink! My stargazer lily didn't come up this year, so I'll just enjoy yours instead. And the million bells looks just as good in a pot as in a hanging basket. The bougainvilla reminds me of Arizona--perfect to celebrate summer!

Hi Wendy....bougainvillea, beautiful. It reminds me of our holidays in Spain where it climbs every villa.....every arch.....tumbling down walls.....heaven.

How strange was the first shot of the lillies....looked like a pink octupus.....

Have a good week Wendy.....

Thanks, Betsy.

Good luck Grammy with overwintering your plants. Some years I have luck and other years I don't.

Hi Beckie - I absolutely love stargazers! And the fragrance!!

Hi Maggie May - I hope so. It's cool and rainy here too.

Hi Rose, I wonder if a naughty chipmunk or squirrel ate your lily bulb. Last year chipmunks ate lots of mine. So this one is new and still in a pot. Will transplant it into the garden in the fall - with lots of blood meal. I've heard blood meal discourages chipmunks and squirrels.

Hi Cheryl, an octopus! Ha! You make me laugh. Bougainvillea in spain - how pretty! It always reminds me of the tropics.
Have a good week too!

Beautiful blooms. My lilies are slow to flower this summer. I have many pink flowers at this time of year and am trying to add some different coloured perennials to my garden as well.

Your flowers are all so lovely. I love bougainvillea. We have them all over here, and I think that the hotter is, the brighter they are, and this summer, they are bright, maybe I should say vibrant.

I'm on my way to Virginia on Wednesday to see Ella and celebrate her third birthday. I'm hoping it's cooler there, or at least hoping that they don't decided to have hot spell while I'm there.

Dear Wendy,
Seeing your flowers lets me know you are out enjoying the summer! They are lovely.
Flowers left my spirits. I love having the herbs about too. Do you grow any herbs?
Namaste,
Sherry

Thanks everyone. Yes, I am outside a lot these days, as I hope you are too.
Sherry - I do grow herbs. Purple basil is my favourite!
