My Name Is.....

Perfect Poinsettia! And I'm the Prettiest Christmas Plant in this home!

Oh Really? Well Ms. P.P., (pretty peculiar, in my opinion) my name is Christmas Cactus - Cute Christmas Cactus! And since I have Christmas in my name, then I'm the Best Christmas Plant in the house!

Oh well - you're not even red, like a true Christmas plant should be! (cute? ha. crazy is more like it!)

Pthhhhatt!

Oh yeah? Well just look at my shiny green pot. That makes me just as Christmas-y as you!

Hello? I just woke up. What's all the fuss?

Well, if it isn't Sleeping Beauty.
About time you woke up.

More like Rip Van Winkle, if you ask me.

Winkle. Tinkle. Sounds just like you, Ms. P.P. (not that I'd ask you anyway).

Well if it isn't Amicable Amaryllis just coming into bloom. Welcome! Your name begins with "A" - the first letter of the alphabet, so you're the 1st and that means the nicest!

Awwww, are you sure?

Absolutely!

My favorites: Talking Plants!!
They are not only very verbose, they are beauties, as well.
Nicely done, Wendy.
Smiles and warm hugs from Jackie

I haven't yet got a poinsettia this holiday season but the ones I seen are beautiful.
I have an Easter cactus.

Coffee is on.

I'm not even going to get into this beauty contest; you're all winners in my book!

Lol, Wendy, I went Christmas shopping yesterday, but along the way I had to buy myself a few things---a poinsettia, a Christmas cactus, and--yes, an amaryllis:) Of course, my amaryllis is still a bulb, and the cactus was a tiny one on clearance, so Ms. Poinsettia is definitely the star at my home right now. I've haven't heard any conversations between them here yet:)

I love your header!!! no snow here!!

I love poinsettias! But unfortunately our cat will eat anything that even resembles a plant and poinsettias are super bad for kitties. I'll just live vicariously through you. :)

Hi Grammy, thank you - yes, we'll be out making our snow angels!

Hi Jackie, aw, it was just done for a lark. Fun stuff! Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Dora, I'll have a latte, please! You have an easter cactus, well don't tell anybody. Pretend it's a Christmas one! LOL!

Hi Betsy, well, we'll just let the cactus cry. I like the poinsettia too! The rich, lush red really steals the show!

Hi Maggie May - thank you. You might not have thought about it, but you can do a fun post with talking flowers or make your fox talk. Anything can happen in bloggerland!

Hi Rose, that's because they wait until it's night time to talk in your house. Otherwise the dogs will hear and start barking! LOL!

I used to be frustrated when my amaryllis plants did not bloom for Christmas, but now I buy the bulbs as soon as they appear in the stores and plant them right away.

My cactus was just a little one. I put it in a green shiny pot and it looks much bigger now, and it's blooming too.

Hi Nadia - our snow has melted, but there will be more tomorrow. I'll send you some!

Hi Allie, I know, we used to have cats too and couldn't buy poinsettias. You're welcome to come and visit mine any time you want. Just don't inflate Ms. P.P.'s ego any more than it already is. LOL!

Hi Kanak, thanks for stopping by.

Those naughty flowers are arguing a bit TOO MUCH! Don't they keep you up at night with their bickering?

Cheryl said...

Cute Wendy, just too cute....
They are three very different plants, and each one is beautiful in its own way......
I must confess I do have a favourite though......

This is my first time here and what an adorable post to stumble into. And the plants are all beautiful and Christmasy.

Wendy said...

I Jean, oh I love all the plants too, even the naughty ones!

Hi Hilary, thank you.

Hi Shammickite, oh, I just shut the door on them and let them bicker all they want!

Hi Cheryl, are you going to leave us in suspense???

Hi Jen, welcome! Thanks for your kind words.

Dear Wendy,
That was very fun! Thank you for the smiles.
I do pink roses and white tulips for my Christmas flowers with pine and holly. My December colors are pink and green.
Always enjoy my visits with you.
Namaste,
Sherry

What lovely little flowers indeed, even though they all seem to have a bit of an attitude--well, except for Miss Amaryllis. I killed my poor little Christmas Cactus, and I am missing her this season. I keep looking at them in the stores wondering if there will be any left after Christmas to go on sale.

I had not thought of a Christmas Cactus at all this year. I love their growth habits and beautiful flowers. Your conversation at the end was eye catching.
Enjoyed the visit.

Ooh, the clarity of your new header picture, especially the snow covered pine in the foreground, is spectacular!

Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord said...

Ohhh, I love the picture of the pine with snow on it. It epitomizes winter!

The flower conversations were inspired and hilarious --- thank you!

If I had my druthers, I'd say that the Christmas cactus is the prettiest, but that's because I have one in my house (and I don't need it revolting toward the other plants or me!).

Be well!
