You asked for it!

Imagine - I actually asked a stranger to take my pic. I've never done that before, but wanted a memory of this vacation.  It's very hard to see my beaded hair.

So tonight, I took my own pic. Not very flattering, but you can see the beaded hair. I only got a few on each side. Tomorrow, I will wash it out.

Ibis (or egret, I'm not sure) fishing in the early morning.

Lots of boats here

Can't you just feel the spray on your face?

Good- bye, St. Maarten!

Such a lovely place. Wow, I haven't seen those beads in quite awhile. I remember when I used to put them in my hair.

Nice to 'meet' you Wendy. Your braids are cute. ♥

They look wonderful. I did not realize you were speaking of small braids. I like this way, with not all the hair in braids. You let your inner child out to play. : )

Loved the photos and the beaded hair & sarong.
Hope you didn't get rid of the beads (unless they hurt you when you tried to sleep.) because they are quite acceptable and very pretty.
Now you have started the ball rolling there will be many other trips, I"m sure.

Hi Wendy, it's me again! Thank you for asking about my sister and for sending your hugs from across the oceans!!
She's busy with her work and her children. Her first born sat for the first important school exam in Feb. The second got promoted to a higher class and the youngest keeps her on her toes!! Thank God for that! Birthdays and anniversaries are difficult times..still, she's pulling on...

Loads of love,
Kanak

Hi Wendy!

I just got internet back today from a storm last Thursday! I was checking on my blog list and found your post!!

Oh what a lovely place and you look wonderful. I'm sure there were some bittersweet moments for you but I hope for the most part that you really enjoyed yourself.

It's hard being one when you've always been two but I hope you are on the road to recovery now...

Dear Wendy, I am so thrilled you travelled. To feel the sun on the back of your neck, have the time to reflect on your journey, and where it takes you next.

Such a beautiful island. I hope it filled your heart and touched your soul.

I did email again....sent you a poem that mother wrote for you.
You obviously did not get it.
I will try again when I have more time.

Think of you always......
