Blue Heron - Lone Fisherman

I took this video at dusk on the lake close to where I live.  Had I been 2 seconds quicker, I would have caught him spearing his dinner!

How wonderful to have caught the heron eating his fish. I was hoping he'd catch another.
I wonder what he was straining to see at the end.
Very tranquil video.

That was lovely Wendy! I think I said in an earlier comment that the Heron is a particular favourite of mine so this was a treat. I can't often get close views of them as they seem easily spooked.

I hope you are well and enjoyed Summer, I think it was much better than ours...it certainly couldn't be any worse ;-)

Sending hugs :-)

A lovely video, Wendy! If I lived close to a lake like this, I think I could spend every evening watching the herons and listening to the waves lapping onto the shore--so peaceful.

Hope all is well with you!

A fresh fish jumped and kicked in his mouth. It must have been delicious for him. Waves conveyed orange sunset and beautiful.
Thank you for sharing a peaceful scene.
Have a lovely weekend!

Gorgeous! He (or she!) makes a lovely picture, wading through the waves and looking for some dinner!

What a peaceful, serene place! I should sit and watch this for at least 15 minutes - and let the stress of the day melt away! Thanks for sharing!

Every moment is perfect. Whatever you do is always enough. It always brings the best possible outcome from the moment you choose to see it that way.
