Lobster, Jasmine.
Monster?
No, lobster!
What are we going to do with it?
Eat it - it's for supper.
Nooooooooo!
What's wrong? Lobster is good. We only have this when we go to the ocean. It's a treat.
But... but....is the monster o.k., Mommy?
"Yes," said Mommy with a straight face. I couldn't help laughing out loud. How on earth could a cooked lobster be o.k., sitting on a dinner table in a pool of garlic butter, about to be devoured by a hungry family? Oh, the innocence of little ones.....

Too adorable.. and what a face! I hope it was delicious.. I'm sure it was. And so is Jasmine. :)
Cute post, Wendy... I have only have lobster one time in my life--when I went to visit a friend in the New England area. They fixed lobster ---and all I remember is how it squealed when it hit that hot water... ha ha
It was good though...
Hugs,
Betsy
I've never had lobster. Not a seafood eater, but some of the those big ones can look rather frightening. Cute post.
Mary
She's really watching everything intently, lol! Looks like a yummy dinner!
The look of apprehension on that little one's face!
Hope she realised that the monster was delicious after trying it.

Hi Wendy, I am with little Jasmine on this and my face would have been the same. I do not eat lobster or crab....or meat for that matter. I am so sensitive I really find it difficult to eat flesh of any kind.
We all choose our own path.....did little jasmine enjoy it??
She is a sweet and sensitive little girl......

I am totally with Cheryl on this one. I find any flesh eating just awful.
She's a gorgeous little girl!!
Good thing she didn't see anyone cook it! Lobster is delicious, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to boil one; good thing the only time I eat it is in restaurants where the kitchen is hidden from view.
Jasmine has grown up so much! Don't you just wish you could keep them innocent forever?
I still love to eat crab but can't bring myself to cook them. There's a coward for you. Guess I wouldn't make much of a Bhuddist. Have to think this over again.
What an adorable comment! Our little ones have such kind hearts. They will change the world.
That lobster/monster looks delish!
Thanks everyone. I could no more cook lobster than anyone else! Not a chance - I'm a coward too. This was "take out". We did not cook, (it was a holiday)nor go to restaurants (because the children were too young). Just did take-out. We were in Cape Cod and wanted to try lobster. It was fine, but not quite as good as Maine lobster. The children had chicken and vegetables. It is not a good idea to give children shell fish - in case of allergies.
Looks like you had some fun. Thanks for the smile on my face. My self I love shrimp and crab. But I have not had a lobster that was edible. I tried to cook 2 when my kids were small. I read bring water to boil. add them and cook 3 minutes. I though that was not long enough. So I did 30. Needless to say. I shrunk them to the size of crawdads inside the shell. And they turned into rubber. So That was an expensive adventure. But now a funny memory. One of many of my new cooing adventures as a younger person. Amy is soon to have the new grandson the 23rd is now the date. Have a wonderful week and so glad to see you blogging I so enjoy your posts. : )
I have happy memories of munching lobster when I go to Newfoundland to visit my cousin. I had no idea which bits to eat, or even how to get into the shell to get at the meaty bits. But it was delicious!
That's awesome - Kids are so inquisitive. What a delight.
Dear Wendy,
Jasmine is so sweet!
Looks as if you are having lots and lots of fun on Holiday....
Hugs,
Sherry
Cute. I have never chosen to eat lobster. I have it in my head I wouldn't like it with butter. Then again, I thought pecan pie looked awful when I was young. Then when I took the first bite, I wish I never had. I was SO good.
I hope you are doing o.k.
Oh what fun! You've been on a holiday! Just what the doctor ordered.
Little Jasmine is so sweet--I'm with her--they DO look like prehistoric monsters! She has grown so much this past year--it's hard to believe that is the same little girl.
I do hope you will post some more photos of your trip. I have always wanted to go to Cape Cod--and Maine. It would be lovely this time of year especially.
Hugs,
Jenny
Oh! How cute! I love it!
