After the storm.....

 An invasion of faerie toadstools.....
Imagine an elf sitting on this one, or hiding underneath.....

Who stepped on Lulu Lemon?

Such a strange looking creature (it really is a mushroom)..

Lemon's little sister, Spotty seems rather shy......
And these pretty whites might be waving good-by...

Hope everyone's having a nice Labour Day weekend and for those who have suffered through Hurricane Irene, I hope the damage is minimal and clean-up done.

Very cute, Wendy. And don't forget Lulu Lemon and Spotty's brother. He's so much fun... a real fungi. ;)

Cute little toadstools, Wendy.... We get them here AFTER alot of rain also... But--I don't think ours are as 'pretty' as yours!!!!! ha

Speaking of rain, we've been as dry as one can get the past two months. Haven't had any rain since the end of June --yet the temperatures have been extremely high... BAD summer for the yard!!!!! BUT--today we got some rain!!!! Hooray... I wanted to go out and do a dance in the rain!!!!! ha

We are getting rain from that tropical system that came into the gulf... Thanks be to God...

Have a great week, Wendy.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Wendy,

Autumn is here and the toadstools are making an entrance.
They bring such a magical feel to a garden.
I find them fascinating and wish that I knew more about them.
I have many books, I must make an effort to read more in the evening when I have a little time.

Lucy Lemon is very beautiful in her demise :)

Hi Wendy, these are truly faerie toadstools! The ones mushrooming here look drab in comparison!:( Certainly no elf-like quality about them!!!

Hi Wendy,
Very lovely post! Indeed they look like invaders. Many kind of faerie were born after the storm. So Autumn has come in your place? In Japan, after a typhoon (a typhoon went through today.) Summer will come back again.
Have a fabulous week.

Hi Wendy, good to hear from you. Lovely fugii, we had some big rain a couple of weeks ago and a little mushroom town popped up under a tree. The dry is here to stay for awhile now, the fairies must have headed your way.

Wouldn't it be lovely to see a little fairy sitting on one of the toadstools?
Well maybe it wouldn't! You would know that my medication was wrong! LOL!
Fungi does make good pictures though.

These are great snaps. I often see that find of flora after there's too much rain.

Isn't fungi amazing? Like snowflakes, each one different. The fairies have many hiding places to choose from in your garden.

With such many mushrooms, your garden would be filled with little lovely visitors of fairies and elves. If I were a fairy, I'd play hide and seek. White mushrooms are so lovely.

Stay safe, healthy, and happy, Wendy.

You all are so lucky to have toadstools and mushrooms. I remember those. Texas has been so dry, the fungi have not been here this year. I hope all is well with you Wendy. It has been a busy year.
